Lily Aldridge embodies the word ‘chic’–she’s got a great sense of style, and can make any look classy and timeless. She’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel, a Sports Ilustrated cover girl, and a mom! I love that about her–she has a family and a career–and a keen eye for putting together outfits that scream elegant! If you love Lily as much as me, keep reading to find out 6 style tricks to dress like Lily!
1. Overalls X White Shirt X Red Lips
Lily wore lightwash flared overalls with a white off-the-shoulder shirt–two simple pieces but always classic. She transformed the look by adding red lips, tan heels, and a pink handbag. The off-the-shoulder top gives the look a sexy vibe, perfectly complimenting the red lips. These are actually the same Frame Denim flared overalls Kate Bosworth wore but in a lighter shade. The key to this look is choosing the lightwash overalls and pairing it with the daring lip and shoulder baring white too.
2. Cropped Top X Cropped Trousers
This breezy look on Lily represents springtime! The white crop top has a feminine and unique shape, exposing some of her midriff. Her cropped trousers/culottes balance the whole look–they’re loose and high waisted, which compliments the crop top. The white and yellow tones of her outfit screams spring time, and the tan bag and mules give off an elegant vibe. This look reminds me of the 1960s classic look or something Audrey Hepburn could have worn, but the midriff showing really modernizes the look.

3. All White X A Splash of Pink
All white-a quick way to do ‘fancy’ without really trying. Lily nailed this look–fitted high waisted trousers with a tucked in tank, and topped with a duster coat and nude heels. For a pop of color, she added a pink bag, which is a great way to break up the all white look. The key to this look is to make sure the trousers have a fitted waist, so you don’t get lost in the layers. The pink bag is a great handbag color because it’s not your typical color and it really softens and feminizes any outfit it’s paired with.
4. Leopard X Gold
When Lily wants to add edge to an outfit, she likes to add a little leopard and gold. In the first photo below, Lily dressed up a white turtleneck and black pants with a leopard purse and studded gold and black chelsea boots. These two accessories give the whole outfit an edgy vibe! Both the leopard print and the gold accents are must haves for any wardrobe because they will always be stylish. The second photo below is another take on the leopard and gold. Lily wore a animal print strapless top and paired it with black trousers. She accents the look with gold arm cuffs and bracelets, making the outfit so night out sexy!
5. Evening Coat X Deep V Dress
Lily is wearing probably one of my all time favorite evening coats–it’s a unique color–I’d call it a mix of blush and tan. The material for this coat is silk but any type of coat that has that slinky, satin-y material will definitely work. I love the fact that you don’t have to tie anything with her coat, it’s simple, streamlined and super long. To balance the coat, she wore a red deep v long sleeve dress (Alice + Olivia $242). Lily really shows you can wear a braid and it can still look sexy for a night out–for those nights you don’t want your hair down or in a ponytail. The braid looks great with the whole outfit and subtle makeup plus drop earrings. She finished off the look by wearing black strappy shoes–classic heels that every girl should have! The coat she’s wearing is the Sofie Coat by Wes Gordon ($2890), but check out this similar camel coat on JohnLewis.com.

6. All Black Maxi Skirt X Crop Top
Instead of wearing a mini skirt, choose a maxi skirt a la Lily. The black skirt looks amazing when paired with a crop top. The one Lily wore is showing a lot of stomach and clavicle, which balances out the long, loose skirt. I love the all black look of her outfit–it’s fancy, chic and easy to recreate. For the crop top, choose one that you feel most comfortable in–for Lily, she wore a deep V crop top but if that’s not something you want to wear, pick one that goes a little higher on the chest. The key for this look is to wear a sleeveless crop top with a maxi skirt. Make sure to wear heels for this look so the skirt doesn’t drag and finally, pull your hair back in a simple middle parted ponytail to complete the look. Add a few bracelets and some simple earrings for the accessories. Boohoo.com has similar bralet for only $20! Misguided has a similar skirt for $50.
