5 Ways To Wear A Duster Coat This Winter

We’re fast approaching December and what better what to spice up a boring outfit then with fun and playful duster coats? Although I live in Los Angeles, the weather does get cold and I usually stick to the basics, which includes a turtleneck or sweater and jeans. Instead of reaching for your black coat to layer on top of your winter wear, try a bold duster jacket.

I’ve found five looks that I love – and I think you will too! Keep reading how you can incorporate colorful statement duster coats in your life!

Emily Ratajkowski wore a simple white turtleneck with flared denim bottoms with a fringed purse. The model took the outfit to another level by adding a breathtaking duster coat on top. The rainbow colored floral cover up looks incredible over the classic items. Do like Emily and choose one that reaches your knees and make sure the rest of your outfit is simple – so that the main event is the duster coat!

Alessandra Ambrosio chose a stunning velvet blue and silver floral duster coat for her outing in the city. The brazilian-born beauty wore a gray turtleneck dress with lace up suede boots in the same color. The key to this look is making sure the knit and boots are the same color so that the duster coat does all the talking.

Just like Alessandra Ambrosio, Gigi Hadid chose to keep the rest of her outfit one color – all black. The blonde stunner wore cropped trousers with a crop top, boots and purse. Her cover up featured gold, black and blue tones – with an oversized fit. The result is an effortlessly cool girl look.

If patterns or bright colors is not your thing, do as Bella Hadid and try experimenting with fabric. The model chose a textured nude colored duster coat, wearing it over a silky crop top and skirt set. The younger singer of Gigi added another dimension by pairing the ankle length coat with rose gold heels.

Here is Miss Gigi again – doing what she does best – looking stylish yet uber cool. The eldest Hadid layered a playful leopard printed duster coat over a LBD. The dramatic length of the cover up – all the way to the floor – pushes this look to another level. Add strappy heels and keep your hair and makeup low key – and ta dah – elegant and youthful this winter season.

So next time you’re in your favorite shop, take a peek at duster coats and have at it – even the boldest and most colorful cover ups can make your outfit go from so so to amazing!
