Denim will always be a classic piece in your wardrobe. The great thing about denim is how versatile it is–you can dress it up or down, make it edgy or preppy, and so on. It’s great for every season, but since we’re right in the middle of summer, why not try a new outfit combo using denim? Keep reading to find out five denim looks you need to try this week!
1) Denim Skirt X Stripes
Jamie Chung chose a ripped denim skirt with a thin black belt, a striped t-shirt, mules and a studded bag. This is a great example on how you can style a ripped skirt into a chic look without looking too edgy. It’s a great outfit for the day time–casual but well put together. For this outfit, the mules were the perfect elegant touch. The studded bag adds a nice edgy element to the overalll outfit.

2) High Waisted Jeans X Double Belts
I love high waisted jeans–it’s so classy and simple. You don’t have to have the same body type as Kendall Jenner–high waisted jeans can look amazing on everyone. To find your perfect pair of high waisted denim, make sure you try them on in person (don’t order online) and try to choose one that has fitted legs. Pairing high waisted denim with a crop top is my all time favorite combo because you can show a small portion of your midriff without feeling too exposed.
This denim look is great because the double belt and boots are a fun twist to the usual classic and simple crop top/high waisted denim combo. Kendall chose a tan belt, which she pulled through the belt holes. She added a decorative belt casually looped around her–it’s a western style metal belt. She cuffed her jeans and wore edgy combat boots. She didn’t add too many accessories, just a simple silver bangle and round sunglasses.

3) Button Down Skirt X Ruffles
Alexa Chung wore a denim button down skirt, a ruffled white crop top and red lips–such a simple but gorgeous combo. The button skirt is definitely becoming a popular piece this summer and with good reason. The skirt is super flattering because it’s fitted at the hips and flares out. The metal detail of the button adds dimension to an otherwise simple skirt. The ruffled top and red lips are both classic and oh so chic. The simple pieces, when combined, create a bold but feminine denim look.

4) A Pop of Color
Model Mica Arganaraz’ street style is so on point! She paired a classic pair of denim shorts with a white tee, orange blazer and black Birkenstocks. The burnt orange blazer is a bright pop of color to an otherwise simple day out look. She rolled the sleeves up and pulled her hair in a high bun–great details that give off that effortlessly cool girl vibe. If you want to change up your summer uniform, then this is a great look. You can make this night time appropriate by adding a pair of nude heels.
5) Ripped Denim X Booties
Gigi Hadid wore ripped denim and a white tee with tan suede booties. She added aviators and a white bucket bag to finish off the look. The frayed top and jeans are perfect for the summer–it’s youthful, edgy and fun. Sandals would have made the look too casual–the booties add that city chic vibe, as well as the bucket bag and aviators. This look is so effortlessly cool!
