How To: Style Timberland Boots


Timberlands have been around for a while, and they are back again as a very popular item.  They look good with jeans, shorts, even dresses.  It instantly gives any outfit that “cool” factor.  If you are thinking about purchasing a pair of Timbs, take a look at different ways you can style them.

1) Simple OOTD

Rihanna’s look is perfect for any winter day–parka, jeans and Timbs, plus a t-shirt.  This can be an everyday look or if you want that effortless cool vibe in the winter months.

 2) Sporty OOTN

Kylie Jenner wore her Timbs with a long sleeve red dress and a bomber jacket, giving off a sporty vibe.  This is a great way to wear your Timbs during the warmer months or a night out and you don’t want to wear heels.  Add some gold jewelry and a oversized purse and you’re good to go.

 3) Casual OOTD

Khloe Kardashian wears a cute summer look with her Timbs–jean shorts, white tee and her boots.  She added simple hoops and a hair band.  The key to this look is the tied flannel shirt around her waist–it gives off a very casual feel.

4) Feminine OOTD

You can still look feminine in your Timbs, just style it similar to Rita Ora.  She chose a fitted sweater dress in pink, which looks amazing wither her boots.  She added some bangles, a watch and a necklace.  The key to this look is choosing a fitted dress–and feel feel to choose any color.

Rihanna knows how to choose a sexy night out look and this one is no different.  She paired a mesh and knitted sweater with ripped jeans and her Timbs.  The key to this look is the red lips and the mesh sweater.  Choose a similar look, but if you’re like me, add a bra underneath (I’m not that brave lol :)).

Five Healthy Breakfast Ideas


English Muffin Avocado Breakfast

My resolution for the New Year is to eat healthier, to lose weight and to tone up.  People always say you’re abs are made in the kitchen, and it’s true, you are what you eat.  I have lost 40 pounds in the past, about four years ago.  My goal is to lose a little more weight and to tone up–in a healthy way!

To do so, I know the most important meal for me is breakfast, and as a vegetarian, it can be tricky on what to eat.  Here are five different meals I like eating in the AM for breakfast.  Check them out below!

1) Oatmeal, Made With Almond Milk

Oatmeal is probably my go-to breakfast option–I love having something warm when I wake up.  For me, I always choose almond milk instead of water or dairy, to make my oatmeal.  I usually top it with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a little bit of coconut sugar.  I limit the coconut sugar to about one teaspoon.

2) Whole Wheat English Muffin With Avocado

I love carbs but that can make you gain weight if you’re not careful.  I always choose whole wheat bread and one that is as natural as possible.  I like english muffin because it’s a controlled portion, you eat one and it’s usually about 130 calories.  I like to use only 1/3 of an avocado and spread it on both halves.  Avocado has good fat but remember, it’s still fat, so moderation is key.

3) Fat Free Plain Greek Yogurt With Bananas and Honey

I enjoy eating sweets for breakfast so this is something I reach for if I have a craving for something sweet.  I only use a tablespoon or less of honey and slice up my bananas and mix it all up.

4) Banana Ice Cream With Fruit Topping and Almond Butter

I love fruit and when I want to detox and energize my body, I reach for apples, strawberries, bananas, etc!  This can also be a snack or dessert–it literally tastes like froyo.  I just take two bananas and put them in my blender and mix until I get an ice cream consistency.  I top it with whatever fruit I have around the kitchen, and add a tablespoon of almond butter.

5) Cereal With Banana

This is what I used to eat every single day when I lost 40 pounds.  I don’t have it that often, only when I crave cereal.  In the past, I used to eat as much cereal I wanted, and that usually means 400+ calories in one sitting.  So, as a solution, I would take a measuring cup and measure one cup of cereal only.  I would eat that one cup (8 oz) of cereal with almond milk and also a banana after. One serving of a healthier cereal, aka whole wheat, low sugar (no marshmallows, etc) is about 120-150 calories, and so it became a healthy breakfast.

The Sexiest Date Night Look Ever!


Gigi Hadid wore a sexy ootn when she was photographed out in NYC with boyfriend Cody Simpson, and it’s an outfit that’s an absolute must try!!  The blond haired model chose two simple pieces, a white cut out midi length skirt and a black crop top, BUT when you put the two together = wow!  It’s still super classy but oh so sexy.  Sometimes the sexiest outfit can be as simple as wearing only white and black pieces.

If you’re not comfortable showing your belly button, choose a skirt that is higher waisted–it will still look sexy.  The key to feeling sexy in any outfit is comfort.  If you don’t feel comfortable in an outfit, you will project that and that’s not sexy. If you feel hot in your outfit, you will project confidence and that is sexy!!  Gigi doesn’t wear any jewelry, which keeps this looking effortless and fresh.

2. Choose a Bold Color

Hailey adds bright pops of color into her day to day wardrobe, and it’s a great way to up any outfit.  Instead of sticking to darks or neutrals, bright colored tops is something Hailey likes to do to, especially with her ripped jeans.  This is a easy way to brighten up your look and not look like everyone else.

3. Make Flat Boots a Staple

Instead of reaching for heels and platforms, invest in some great chelsea boots and combat boots.  Hailey’s OOTD’s almost always consist of flat boots, usually black or occasionally a nude colored boot.  If you want to emulate her style, then flat boots are an absolute must!  They look amazing with ripped jeans, leather leggings, denim shorts.

4. Wear An All Black Outfit and Add a Color in With a Jacket

This is a great idea for days when you don’t feel like finding an outfit–instead just throw on some black jeans or leggings, and a black top.  Finish off the look with a non-black jacket, like Hailey, who added an olive colored Zara jacket to complete the look.  In the next photo, she added a loose chambray unbuttoned to serve as a jacket.  Both ways look edgy, but the all black beneath the jacket give it a chic factor.

5. Pair Dark Lips and Leather

For those days (and nights) where you want to dress up, try wearing dark lips and leather (or pleather).  The dark lips are a perfect way to vamp up any outfit and paired with leggings, definitely gives off a badass vibe.  Next time you want to go out, wear dark lips with leather like Hailey!

Three Must See Winter Looks


Winter outfits can usually end up feeling uninspired–mine is usually the same look all the time–jacket and jeans.  If you’re like me and you want to try a different look, have no fear, here are three great winter looks that aren’t the typical ootd and are must-sees!

1. Plaid

Plaid is a great pattern that literally looks good on everyone.  Cara Delevingne’s plaid jacket is gorgeous and it takes her outfit to the next level!  Instead of grabbing that black jacket, try something like Cara’s.  If you don’t want to invest in a plaid jacket or if it’s to out there for you, you can always wear a plaid shirt around the waist and throw on a leather jacket to stay warm.  However, this jacket is a timeless piece that will always be in style and make your outfit look sophisticated.  Cara did a great job making her look edgy by adding leather pants and boots.

2. Faux Fur

Faux fur is a must have this fall/winter!  It not only keeps you warm, but it looks so chic.  Jessica Alba rocks her faux fur on top of an olive-colored jacket that makes the look badass!  I love that she added the scarf to her outfit to make it more feminine.  A faux fur vest is a great piece because it’s so versatile but you can also try a faux fur jacket instead if you’re looking for warmth.

3. All White Everything

When in doubt, or in a rush, I tend to grab an all black outfit, BUT, why not try and do the opposite?  An all white look, a la Kim Kardashian, is a great way to dress outside the box and make heads turn.  I love the idea of a white turtleneck and long white skirt–it’s chic and simple.  If you want to stay warmer than Kim, definitely grab a turtleneck that’s thicker and not see thru, but you get the idea!  The all white look is so flattering and you will definitely stand out in a crowd!
